How long does it take to get a specialty plate?
Production and mailing typically take 2–8 weeks. Some offices can issue common specialty designs on the spot, while personalized or restricted plates are always manufactured and mailed.
Do specialty plate fees replace my registration fee?
No. Specialty fees are in addition to your normal registration. Many designs also include an annual donation or surcharge that supports a university, charity, or program.
Can I personalize any specialty plate?
